We need NATO.

Tell your Senators to support this bipartisan bill where lawmakers are finally standing up to the president and his erratic behavior toward NATO.

KavaHELLnaugh.

Keep track of where your Senators stand on the confirmation of Kavanaugh to SCOTUS and tell them that his abysmal track record on a woman’s right to choose totally disqualifies him from becoming a Supreme Court judge.

Release the White House visitor logs.

President Trump abandoned the practice of the Obama administration to make visitor logs publicly available and in doing so, he left us in the dark about who visits the White House and when, which is concerning when some of those visitors are Russian adversaries. Tell your elected officials to propose legislation that would require this administration to release the White House visitor logs.

Our election needs protection.

House Republicans voted down a Democratic effort to increase election security spending, despite the ongoing threat of Russian meddling. Tell your elected officials that our democracy is in danger if we don’t take every measure to protect our elections from interference.

Save the otters!

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Agency and NOAA proposed sweeping changes to the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The changes could reduce protections for at-risk plants and animals, and make it easier to delist species. Write to your elected officials and tell them to protect endangered species from this harmful proposal.

Suspend Operation Streamline.

Human rights activists and attorneys have long argued that Operation Streamline’s use of mass hearings and expedited timelines raises serious questions about whether undocumented immigrants are being given basic due process protections. Tell your representatives that you want this practice to end.

Jeff Sessions is the Worst: Part 1,000,000

Jefferson Beauregard Sessions the 3rd is a piece of shit who hates Civil Rights, women, minorities, and basically anyone who isn’t an old white dude from the South (but made a one-time exception for an old white dude from New York). Tell your elected officials that they must fight his racist agenda every step of the way.

Gun violence is a DAILY occurrence.

Twenty-two people were injured and one person was killed during a mass shooting at an art fair in Trenton, New Jersey, over the weekend. It isn’t getting much national attention. It should. The shooting was a particularly bad example of everyday gun violence in America, and we’ve had enough. Tell your Representatives at the local and federal level that you want gun control and you want it now.

Puerto Rico: Still getting screwed!

After FEMA declined to release their Puerto Rico hurricane plan, ProPublica found the agency’s equivalent plan for Hawaii posted, unredacted, on the internet by the Department of Defense. The Hawaii plan includes granular details down to, for example, how many specially outfitted medical aircraft the federal government would send to Hawaii after a Category 4 hurricane. It also describes an 85-step process to restore electricity on the islands. Asked why the Puerto Rico plan was too sensitive to release publicly while the Hawaii plan was not, a FEMA spokesman said: “We aren’t able to speak for DoD or the State of Hawaii.” Write your Representatives and demand they pressure FEMA to reveal these public documents.

THE CENSUS NEEDS SAVING, STAT.

Been saying this for a while now but the 2020 Census is in TROUBLE. And as a result, we’re in trouble, because the Electoral College is in trouble. Stop your representatives from destroying the Census before it’s too late.
