Back to $chool season.

All students deserve protection from predatory student loan servicing companies. Tell your elected officials that they must protect the work of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. This Administration's ties to the corporate finance world should not bankrupt our students.

Back to school and Betsy DeVos still sucks.

Back to school season, but Sec. of Education Betsy DeVos is hard at work squashing civil rights probes regarding the treatment of our nation's students. Enough already! Over the summer, Rep. Maxine Waters, D-CA., introduced the Education Department Civil Rights Transparency Act, which was co-sponsored by 20 other members of Congress. The legislation would require the U.S. Department of Education to reveal which schools have been accused of violating students’ civil rights, as well as any corrective actions or other resolutions of its probes. For complaints it declined to investigate, the department would have to publicly explain why. Tell your Congressmen and women to support this Act!

Abstain from abstinence-only education.

Abstinence only programs don't work. And the Trump administration is making their abstinence only policies openly racist, to boot. Tell your elected officials you believe in science and sex ed should be for everyone!

KavaHELLnaugh.

Keep track of where your Senators stand on the confirmation of Kavanaugh to SCOTUS and tell them that his abysmal track record on a woman's right to choose totally disqualifies him from becoming a Supreme Court judge.
